Still No Purple Malden...yet!

For those of you who are recommending that I get a purple malden, I ordered a Personal Malden in Purple last July 27, 2012.

I received another email today that broke my heart:

Dear Valued PensAndLeather Customer

We've just received notice from Filofax that the arrival of the Filofax Malden Purple (both Pocket and Personal size) has been pushed back once again. Their new ETA (ESTIMATED Time of Arrival!!) is now Oct. 15, 2012.
 
I am so dissapointed. Should I be dissapointed at Filofax for delaying it once again? Until then, I will still be waiting very, very patiently. 

Maybe it will arrive by my birthday - November 1???? 

Or should I just ask for a refund and buy it internationally where it is available? Any advice???

  1. That is awful having to wait this long...first I would a) find out where you can get one elsewhere and find out how quickly they can send it to you and explain you've been let down, once you have confirmation...then cancel your order and tell them exactly why your cancelling

    1. @Deborah - Thank you for your advice. I am so upset. Not only has the date been pushed back once but three times now. This is getting ridiculous!

  2. I would definitely cancel my order after letting them know how disappointed I am with them. It's weird, I ordered my Filofax from the same store and didn't have any problems. I hope it all works out for you :)

  3. I feel your disappointment. When I first discovered Filofax back in June, I wanted the purple Malden and it was not avail so I chose the Grey A5. The A5 was too big for my needs so I went back to order a personal and the purple Malden was still unavail. I ended up getting a personal Imperial Purple Finchley from someone & I love it, but still would love the purple Malden as well.
    I placed another order this past Sunday for a personal Ochre Malden since they are 50% off on the US Filofax site.
    I guess I'll just have to keep being patient for my purple Malden

    1. @Leah - I too bought a Personal Imperial Purple Finchley. I am still waiting for that as well. I am hoping this will fill my Personal Filofax fix. I will probably never order from that company again.

  4. I would definitely cancel the order and buy the Malden somewhere else! City Organiser for example shipps really fast.

  5. I wonder how much, if any, of this is actually P&L's fault... I think it's more likely Filofax's. As far as I know Filofax has yet to start selling the purple Malden in the states, and they keep delaying it. I don't understand why and I think it's rather ridiculous, but I don't think it's P&L that's the problem, it's Filofax itself... and if that's the case your only option may be to order internationally.

  6. I spoke to Richard at Pens and Leather today, and just as the Filofax online site , they cannot get the purple Malden. You can't find it anyplace online either. I signed up for an email to be sent when it comes in to the Filofax store and I'll tell y'all when I hear it comes in, Jennifer.

    1. @Britta - It's also a pain to buy internationally because it has to go through US Customs, and they could hold it for up to a month. So, not only do you have to buy it at a high price, plus shipping costs, and the long shipping time. If only there was a place where they sold Filofaxes here. If anyone knows, where they sell in California please tell me!!!

      @Hannah C. & austinlinda - I sort of blame P&L because they has already sent me a confirmation email saying that it was "in shipping". About a month passed, I emailed Richard saying that he regreted to inform me that it was out of stock. When tell me it's in shipping when it's out of stock. So, that didn't make sense to me. I blame Filofax mostly because it's ridiculous how they keep pushing back their shipment dates. More than three times!?!? But yet, it's available in other countries? It's a shame and downright disappointment. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

    2. I totally agree with You Jennifer, P&L shouldn't say they have something when they don't...then again if Filofax keep swapping the shipping date....It's so wrong...it makes you wonder if they actually want to make any money.
      I understand you don't want to buy internationally, purely down to shipping cost...I personally think Filofax is having what we say in England ..."An away with the faeries moment"

  7. I am going thru the same thing this year, ordered July 30th 2013 and it has been pushed back 3 times now. Now they won't even show and ETA. Exasperating!
