Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pens

Hello everyone! I thought I would share with you my latest obsession.

Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pens - by Sakura
I first found these pens at an asian store which no longer exists, and at the college bookstore at the college I attended at the time.

As stated on their website: www.sakuraofamerica.com

"A falling star was caught, and star twinkle was stirred right into gel ink to add delight and wonder to any writing style.
Song lyrics often refer to the bright starlight in the night sky; in stories, fairies and pixies always hold a wand that trails glittery stardust. Gelly Roll Stardust captures the sparkle and glitter of stars to make handwriting extra-special.
Don't underestimate the extraordinary value of a handwritten note. Handwriting is as unique as a fingerprint, so why not add a little glimmer to a signature style. The stunning Gelly Roll Stardust sparkles best on light colored or matte paper surfaces."

Gelly Roll Stardust is a pigment-based archival quality ink and is indicated in each color name with the suffix "-STAR". Features include:
  • A roller ball pen that is easy and comfortable to write with
  • Archival quality ink – chemically stable, waterproof, and fade resistant.
    • ( Except black sparkle. )
  • No smears, feathers, or bleed-through on most papers and
  • The glittery 'dust' is an inert, cosmetic grade, finely ground ingredient – which produces the reflective brilliance
  •  1.0mm ball with a 0.5mm line
I've use these pens in art & crafts, to greeting cards, envelopes, and in my filofaxes. These I have to say, are a hit and miss. Some of the pens I own bleed too much ink, some are just right. Despite it's flaws, these are the most beautiful pens I have tried. No other pens I've tried has this much sparkle/ glitter. The color range is great. For the pens that bleed ink, I would have to let dry a bit longer, otherwise they dry nicely and do not bleed through the paper. I almost have every color except for Black Sparkle which I've only seen online and I hope to own soon.
