Haul #6: Washi/ Masking Tapes!!!

Recently, I've been going tape crazy. I had a sudden urge to find washi/ masking/ paper tapes. I was surprised when I would go into my local craft stores ex. Michael's, Jo-Anne's, and Hobby Lobby. I would ask them if they carried Washi tape and some salespeople would look at me like I said some weird thing. How could they not know what it is? And you work at a craft store? How do you not know these products? Luckily I found some myself! Michael's craft store has their own brand called Recollections. I found these in the Embellishment asile, along side stickers.

These varied from $4.99 - $0.99.
Most came in packs of two or three.

These little cuties also came in a pack of 6.

 Here is my order from:

If you live in the US, then here are some websites where you can purchase some wonderful tapes.

ETSY SHOPS:

So, now that I have all this tape, I bet you're wondering how I store them.

First, I had them like this

Then, I found this at Jo-Anne's
It is a ribbon holder. Less than $20. I plan on getting more wooden rods.

I've also put them here:

This is how I keep inventory. I have a bunch of SMASH books that I haven't used yet. I've decided to turn it into a crafting inventory book. For washi tapes, I cut out tags using a Cricut machine (using the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge) and placed a bit of tape on each one.

Here it is so far:

I've organized them this way:
  • Solid colors
  • MT Masking Tapes
  • Stripes
  • Polka-dot
  • Single pattern (plaid,chevron,star, etc.)
  • Floral
  • Pretty pattern
  • Fun/ Multi-patterned
Other storage solutions I've found:

A more affordable solution for the diy-ers using empty saran wrap/ foil/ press n' seal boxes.
