Franklin Covey inserts in my Filofax

I know some of you wonder how the Franklin Covey inserts fit into a Filofax. I am using a Franklin Covey Simplicity Two-Page Monthly Calendar with Tabs in Compact size inside my Personal Metropol.
A Franklin Covey (FC) Compact Page size is 4.25" x 6.75".  A Filofax Personal Page size is 3 3/4" x 6 3/4".
With that being said, the FC pages are wider. So, I thought to myself when ordering them, no problem, I will just trim a bit and repunch if needed. But, when I received them and put them into my Filofax, I tried to see if I could live without having to cut/ trim anything. So, here is what I've come up with. I re-arranged my Filofax so that these monthly pages would sit in the middle of my planner. So, that what I would close it, it's wouldn't get smashed by the pen loops or the strap. Keep in mind, the Metropol has two pen loops.

Here you can see how the FC pages are definitely wider.

I just loved this color! And no added bulk of monthly dividers because …

My Filofax Week #8

I'm a bit tired posting this as I worked last night. Not much to say this week. How was your week?

Some of you have also been wondering if the Metropol lies flat.
What do you think? I think it's not bad, and doesn't want to force shut. Good in my book.

A List of Purple Filofax Organizers

Aside from my current wishlist of Filofax organizers that I hope to own in the near future, I decided to research on exactly what PURPLE Filofax organizers actually exsist. Please feel free to contribute if I have missed any. I have now realized that i would be nearly impossible to own all of them, but hey, a girl can try!
I will start off with the one's I actually own:
(NOTE: I have not listed them by size just by color,
also some are not exactly purple but are in the purple family)

My Filofax Week #7

This week, I felt that my Finchley was getting too stuffed because I started to notice the rings starting to gap. For fear of it getting worse, I moved into the Metropol.

As a person who practices the Catholic religion, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lent, which also marks 40 days prior to Easter Day. This is a time in which we prepare for Easter by fasting (abstinence from meat), reflection, and prayer. An old tradition was "giving something up" for Lent. As a child, that meant giving up, candy, soda or cursing. Times have changed, and for some people instead of "giving something up", they added something more meaningful to their lives. "I will volunteer at the local shelter". Lent has more importance than just giving up candy. Lent is about conversion, turning our lives more completely over to Christ and his way of life. Conversion means leaving behind an old way of living and acting in order to embrace new life in Christ.
Thus, I decided to…

My Filofax Week #6

Hello Everyone!

Didn't do too much towards the end of the week. Nonetheless, here is what went on. I ordered a stamp fromMUJIin hopes to buy some clear storage cases, but unfortunately there were sold out. I like my display of my washi tape, but it's just not working out for me. I also wanted to purchase some stationery items. One of those items was this:
Acrylic Stamp for Check List
I had decided to try this in my Filofax. I have been looking for a different option to hand drawing check boxes. I got this idea from Doris at her blog The Storage Studio. I hope you don't mind, Doris.
I finally got a watch a movie. It's been ages since I've been actually able to sit through an entire movie. QT with my husband. We finally got to watch "Pitch Perfect".
I also decided to redo my craft room/office. Not a complete redo, but I've added more storage and re-arranged some things. I think it's much better now. I also did some re-organizing in my organizer. I mad…

Filofax Adventures Part.4

This post is very long over due! I traveled to Vroman's Bookstore in I went here back in November 2012 for my birthday. I found this store through the Filofax - Find a Retailer search.
695 E. Colorado Blvd
Pasadena, CA 91101

I was just floored by their selection of Filofax organizers. I felt a little taste of Filofax heaven here. A5, Personal sized, Pocket, Compact sized. Compared to the last store I went to, Francis Orr, this store had more affordable selections, like Domino, Holborn, Malden, Chameleon, Finsbury, Classic, Boston.

The store is filled with little note cards that highlight staff picks about their items. Here is what one staff member said about Filofax.  NICE!
I was just so amazed by the selection that I totally saw passed this beauty!  The ONE I've been looking for! The ONE I've been longing for!  The Personal Malden in Purple!

But what do I find to my dismay?
GAPS in the rings! I've mentioned thi…

My Filofax Week #5

Hi everyone! Thank you for all your get well wishes. I am still not 100% but I'm close, maybe 90% there. My kids are much better as well. This week, the month of January ends. Did anyone keep their New Years resolutions? I am glad I did. As February begins, it's starts with my mom's birthday. She is a very important woman in my life. I would not be who I am today, if it weren't for her. I LOVE YOUMOM!
Here is how my week went. ENJOY!
