My Filofax Week #6

Hello Everyone!

Didn't do too much towards the end of the week. Nonetheless, here is what went on. I ordered a stamp from MUJI in hopes to buy some clear storage cases, but unfortunately there were sold out. I like my display of my washi tape, but it's just not working out for me. I also wanted to purchase some stationery items. One of those items was this:

I had decided to try this in my Filofax. I have been looking for a different option to hand drawing check boxes. I got this idea from Doris at her blog The Storage Studio. I hope you don't mind, Doris.

I finally got a watch a movie. It's been ages since I've been actually able to sit through an entire movie. QT with my husband. We finally got to watch "Pitch Perfect".

I also decided to redo my craft room/office. Not a complete redo, but I've added more storage and re-arranged some things. I think it's much better now. I also did some re-organizing in my organizer. I made some new dividers using blank Filofax dividers, and prettied them up with washi tape, stickers from Yozo Craft, and my label maker. Thanks to Tracy R. for the suggestion.

On another note, if you are a fan of TOMS shoes, they ad a huge warehouse sale by my house. I was super excited, I knew I had to go. So, after a 12 hour night shift, I went! Bright and early at 7am! But low an behold, the line already wrapped around the corner of the building! I thought, WHAT! Doors don't even open until 10am! And so the wait began.

I was surprised how people had even camped out since 3am. Some people even brought some chairs and blankets, and here I was, freezing in my scrubs, with just a jacket on. Luckily, some friends of mine came a saved me with another jacket, a chair to sit on, and some hot chocolate. Once the doors opened, it took us another hour before we got our shopping on!

We each got bought a bag full. I personally got 13 pairs for myself (& my family). Tha'ts 13 pairs to 13 children in need of shoes. These shoes rarely go on sale, and the price was hard to beat! Pretty much 50% off retail price!

Those were my highlights for the week. Thanks for visiting!

  1. I love the stamp check idea. I am also looking for an neater way to make mine check boxes in mine planner.

  2. I went to the Toms warehouse sale Saturday morning. I drove over and saw the massive amount of people and just drove back home. I get scared around that many people on a mission (just like Black Friday).

    1. I think Saturday was the worst. As long as 5 hours wait time just to get in. Sunday was a better I think because they had a system. On friday and saturday, there was no time limit, and people were taking forever, that's why the wait was so long. On Sunday they were limiting us to shop for one hour. Either way, I think it was worth it.

  3. That stamp post is a great idea! I saw something similar on Japan corner's blog but I love that the one you have has lines too, I'll have to look for one.
And those dividers you decorated are stunning! I'm in serious need of some washi tape but the only ones I can find without extortionate UK shipping rates are fairly plain styles.

    1. Thank you. Yes, I also got the idea from Japan Corner. If there is a MUJI store near you, I think the stamp is available there, if not then online. Most UK people looking for washi tape shop online from eBay or Etsy.

  4. Did you make your own pages for this planner or did you get them somewhere?

  5. I use Filofax Week on two pages in Cotton Cream. Then, I decorate them with washi tape, stickers, etc.
