It has been a very busy week for me as I was planning for my daughter's birthday party on Saturday.
I did get some new things - pens from and some more ink pads in which I will show in my next video.
I also moved back into my Personal Purple Songbird. I didn't want to over use the Purple Finsbury since it has been well used, and I wanted to get more use out of the Songbird which is why I switched into it.

Some of you are asking where I bought my keychains/charms that I have attached to my Filofax.

This hello kitty with a purple bow was bought at a store called Tokyo Lifestyle. Not sure where else you…

What's a Filofax & Why I love Mine!

Some of you are just starting to find out about Filofax, and are wondering what it is, and why I love it so much!
Here's a little history lesson from the Filofax Website..."its origins go back as far as the First World War when an Englishman working in the USA, came across an American organizing system consisting largely of technical leaves for engineers and scientists."
In 1921, shortly after this discovery, a London based company was formed to market personal organization systems in the UK.
In 1930 they registered the trademark "Filofax", the name having derived from the description "file of facts".
The Filofax personal organizer had developed from a simple loose-leaf diary and notebook into an indispensable organizer and status symbol for the 80s.
Being in the US, some planner brands thatmay sound familiar to you are Franklin Covey, Day-Timer, Day-Runner, At-a-Glance, Mead, Moleskine, Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton, just to name a few.
What do you u…

Here is a nice postcard from the King of Philofaxy himself - Steve

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week. Nothing too eventful. Bought some important pieces for crafting for my daughter's birthday next week. Been prepping for that. She will be turning two on the 29th.
She has been keeping me very busy. I haven't gotten the chance to film for you all, and I know that my videos are highly requested and I don't want you to think that I have forgotten about you all. When I do finally have some time for myself, I'm usually c…

Here is what it looks like with the flyleaf in the middle.

The week started off with our regular visit to the Dentist on Monday. The day ended on a bad note because my husband injured his wrist so bad that he had to rush to the ER to be seen. I had to file more paperwork and handle more business because of my job loss. Not only was I laid off, but they still owe me money. Part of the reason why the hospital shut down was due to employees not being paid their wages due. So, I was basically work…

Organizing Distress Ink Pads

I finally had some time to organize my Tim Holtz Disress Ink Pads.
Ranger had made it easy by providing free PDF files: Ranger Ink Pad Label Sheets Template

They are designed to work with Avery brand 5267 labels (or other brands that have a similar size label–one and three quarters inch by one half inch, 80 labels per sheet).
I used the Avery 8167 labels and the template was still compatible.
I printed off the labels, then used my ink blending tool to stain the labels.
Then, I attached the label onto the side of the ink pad. I store my ink pads upside down which makes them last longer, preventing the ink from drying up.

Thank you for visiting!

My Filofax Week #14

Current Filofax: Personal Purple Finsbury

This weeks theme: Orange/Peach, Blue
Items used: Washi tape, Masking Stickers, Martha Stewart Dew Drops,  Cooky's Helloday Stickers Ver. 2. Studio112 Journal Tag, Post-it Flags

Here you can see that I've attached extra notes onto a flyleaf with washi tape. When the week is over, I remove the notes and place them onto the page. Washi tape is removable, so if I need to refer back to the week, it is easily doable.

Another difficult week for me, as I ended the week with a farewell party. It was glad to see everyone for the last time. It was very sad to enter into what was once a busy, bustling, full of life and energy hospital, into a very EMPTY one. Seeing empty rooms, pictures of our staff off the walls. It was all too sudden. It about just two weeks for them to clear us all out. In a way, I'm glad it did, because everyone's morale was shot down. We all worked so hard, despite the challe…

Filofax Adventures Part. 5

For this adventure day I went back and visited in VROMAN'S Bookstore in Pasadena.  It's been a good five months since I last visited, so I wanted to see what they had in stock, hoping to find some good selections. As soon as I entered, I noticed they had moved things around. They had put their Filofax organisers at the back of the room.  The first thing I ran into was the Leuchtturm 1917 Pen Loops. I needed this pen loop for the longest time, but I just never committed to buying one from eBay, so when I saw this on display, I immediately looked for a purple one, and lucky me! It was the last purple one in stock. =)

On my way to the back of the room, I noticed they had decreased their Filofax stock. Not as much selection as I saw previously. Either they were probably sold and/or they had not gotten new stock in. One thing did catch my eye and it was the A5 Orange Osterley. I did not buy it, I was just being touchy feely with it. I have to say it was a very vibrant color. I'v…
