“Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success.”
- Thomas J. Watson

This week I am still trying to move into my A5 organiser. I have been figuring out what inserts to use and what things would be helpful. Still not sure if I'm going to still with the week on two pages inserts.
I loved using the Mead inserts for my Personal pages, which used to be sold, but I have not been able to find for a while. The other day I found this Mead daily/monthly planner notebook for $7 at my local Target store.

Tabbed Monthly on Two Pages inserts

 Tabbed Day Per Page inserts

I thought these would fit perfectly in my A5! Time for some tinkering!!!
It came with July 2013 - June 2014 pages!

I'm thinking of using the day per page as either journal pages, or blog/video notes.

As for how my week went, if you haven't checked out my For Sale tab, I did update it with some new handmade custom dividers, washi tape, and some other stationery items! So, make sure to check that out!

I was fortunate to have my darling cousin, Jessica, stay with me for one whole week.
She helped to make the dividers as well as handle all the orders. Not only that, but I was able to do things, which I normally wouldn't have been able to do, without her help. Such as cleaning the house, etc.
So, I am very thankful to me cousin for all her help.
She has been very enthusiastic about wanting to have a Filofax for herself. I was unable to win her an Aqua Saffiano during the Philofaxy Awards, so instead I gave her my Personal Purple Saffiano. I took the time to really help her get started by giving her some sticky notes, washi tape, stickers, and of course my favorite Pilot FriXion pens. I even decorated her weeks up to the end of the year. I call it my decorating marathon which took me about three nights to finish!
I also made her customized dividers much like the ones I made in my tutorial.

I am sure she will do a set-up video soon, once she's all settled into her new found love.
Stay tuned for more videos from her!

There week ended with a family trip to the Griffith Observatory, in Los Angeles, CA.
I haven't been there since they remodeled it in 2002! The observatory is a popular tourist attraction with an extensive array of space and science-related displays.

Hope you all had a great week!

  3. Hi there. Came across your YouTube channel, had now idea that personal planners had become such decorative outlet. So pretty! I don't have a channel, so I popped over here to your blog. I was watching your video on your week #30 decorating your filofax. You were stamping your check box/line stamp by eye-balling it. I wanted to suggest to you a great tool called the Stamp-a-majig. I believe they have it at Michaels too. It's great, it makes it so fast and easy to line up/position a stamp right where you want it. I use this a lot when making my cards. Thanks for sharing your passion.
